Hidden gems: Book Fiesta!: Celebrate Children’s Day/ Book Day; El día del niño/ El día del libro by Pat Mora



Happy Tuesday everyone! It is the beginning of exciting week here at your local neighborhood bookstore as we get ready for this Saturday. What is happening this Saturday you ask? We are having our 4th Annual East Harlem Children’s Book Festival, celebrating El día del niño/ El día del libro. In a prelude to this magnificent annual event we will be reviewing Book Fiesta!: Celebrate Children’s Day/ Book Day; El día del niño/ El día del libro by Pat Mora, illustrated Rafael Lopez.



In Book Fiesta! we see the many places and ways that books can be read. From a hot air balloon to the mouth of a whale, reading with our friends or our pets or even to the moon, Pat Mora demonstrates in her book what the pure essence of book joy. Paired with bright and colorful illustrations by Rafael Lopez, this book is essential for anyone who wants to give a child a book that demonstrates the amazing joyful experience that occurs when we read.

Don’t forget to check out our 4th Annual East Harlem Children’s Book Festival this Saturday from 11am to 4pm with readings by Sonia Manzano, Carla Torres, John Parra, Yadhira Gonzalez-Taylor as well as presentations by Acopladitos and Fraternidad Cultural Pasion Boliviana.
